What the Home Relocation Process Looks Like

Relational Consultation

We will start by meeting with you to listen to your goals, concerns, fears, and hopes. Our aim is to evaluate the best possible scenario for ease of transition and present several options for you to determine the best fit.

Discuss Your Options

One option may be what we call a Walk Away Opportunity. This would be an off-market sale to an investor so that you don't have to do anything to get your home ready to sell. You get to focus entirely on where you're going next and what you want to bring with you so there’s no additional stress or preparation on your part. This is common with a distressed home or an ill homeowner that wants to make the most they can when selling their home without taking on any additional stress.

Discuss Your Options cont.

A second option may be a bit of light sprucing. If in hearing your goals, we jointly determine it would be beneficial to do a few touch ups (i.e. fresh paint, maybe new light fixtures, possibly new flooring, light staging), we can discuss this further. The changes would be minimal but would get you a greater return when you sell your home. Don't worry, we have resources and suggested vendors so we can help make all those arrangements for you.

Once we determine the right path, we’ll make arrangements to sell your home either by finding an investor or listing it on the market. We understand how emotional and overwhelming the home selling process can be. We will explain each step of the transaction and bring documents to you so you can take your time looking over and signing them in person so you never feel rushed or uninformed.

There is a lot more to moving than just selling your home. Our desire is to help coordinate everything from movers to donation pick-up so that you don't have to worry about anything beyond settling into your new space and beginning new memories.

We don’t have the funds to buy a new home until our current one sells, how can we work around that?

We have served many clients in the same position and there are a few scenarios that will help you accomplish your goal. One way is with a lease back option. This is where you sell your home to free up your equity, but continue living in it and leasing it back from the buyer while you purchase and close on a new home. The other option is to write an offer that is contingent on the sale of your current home. We will talk through these options and based on your goals and the current market, together we can determine what is the best option for you.
